LDS missionaries get opportunity for special service at BYU-SMU football game

Missionaries invite community and students to attend devotional and learn about the importance of serving

LDS missionaries serving in the Utah Provo Mission are getting a special opportunity to serve at the BYU-SMU football game on Saturday, September 24, 2023. The missionaries will be serving as ushers and helping with other tasks at the game.

In addition to their service at the game, the missionaries will also be inviting people to attend a special devotional that will be held at the Provo Missionary Training Center the night before the game. The devotional will feature speakers from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints who will talk about the importance of serving others.

Missionaries excited to serve at BYU-SMU football game and invite community to join them

"We are excited to have the opportunity to serve at the BYU-SMU football game," said Elder David A. Bednar, a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles who will be speaking at the devotional. "This is a great opportunity for us to share our message of service with the community and to invite people to learn more about the LDS Church."

The missionaries are hoping that their service at the game will make a positive impact on the community. They are also hoping that the devotional will be a meaningful experience for those who attend.

"We invite everyone in the community to come to the devotional and learn more about the importance of serving others," said Elder Bednar. "We believe that service is one of the most important things we can do in our lives. It is a way to show our love for God and for our fellow man."

The devotional will be held at the Provo Missionary Training Center on Friday, September 23, 2023, at 7:00 pm. The public is invited to attend.
